Anansi is in trouble! Each of his six sons has a special gift they use to help Anansi get out of trouble. Students will use the instrument of their body and design six shapes that represent the six sons. Using the ideas of motif and variation, students will explore different ways to move the shapes. Finally, students will dance the story of Anansi and his six sons with instruction from Linda Putthoff or Jane Gotch.

Have a ball with ballroom dance! Through Meringue, Swing, Salsa, Rumba and the Tango, students learn self-esteem, grow in confidence and learn teamwork in an atmosphere that celebrates physical education through partner dance. This workshop promotes respect, courtesy and etiquette, important life skills, and is fun to boot.

Students explore similarities between how authors and choreographers create their work and learn that while authors use words and choreographers use movement, both create images that communicate a message.

Join a magical, instructive journey through the dance, music, and culture of India. Learn some of the hand gestures and meanings associated with Indian dance. The Nature Dance presents connections between the elements (earth, wind, moon), our bodies, minds, and peace. A brief history is given, with examples of Indian artwork, clothing, and crafts.
