SESSION LENGTH
The Summer Session is nine-weeks long and runs from Monday, June 9, 2008 to Friday, August 15, 2008. No Garage Band classes or private instruction will occur during the week of July 4. Ballet Classes will meet except for on Friday, July 3.

SUMMER CAMPS
Summer Camps are one week long and begin at 8:00am with fun warm up and group team building activities. At 9:00am each group will break out into their specific camp. Lunch for campers that are enrolled in full day camps will be provided.
Extended Day!
Our extended day program designed to meet the needs of working families! Extend the fun with visual arts, movies, games and other activities!
Arts Sampler Extended Day is from 12:30pm – 5:30pm (Lunch will be provided.)
9-13 Year old Artists Extended Day is from 4:00pm – 5:30pm
End of Camp Presentations
Each camp will have a performance on Friday, at the end of the camp. See your camp teaching artist for more details.
Multi-Camp Discounts
Pay full price for your first camp and get any additional camp at 10% off. Sorry, the discount does not apply to online enrollments, extended day, group classes, private instruction or Shakespeare Camps.
Lunch!
Lunch will be provided to campers who attend an all day camp or to Junior Arts Sampler campers who participate in an extended day program.
GROUP CLASSES
Hip Hop Dance and the Garage Band classes will meet once a week for nine weeks. Ballet classes will meet once a week for four-weeks.
PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
May 12 – June 8 Interim Session
Private instruction is available once a week for four-weeks during the Interim Session. Instruction hours will be Monday – Friday between the hours of 4:00pm – 7:00pm.
June 9 - 8/16 Summer Session
Private instruction is available once a week for nine-weeks during the Summer Session. Instruction hours will be Monday – Friday between the hours of 9:00am – 7:00pm.
Rescheduling Private Lessons
Students are allowed one rescheduled lesson pending their instructor’s availability.
SCHOLARSHIPS
KCYA offers scholarships for tuition or musical instruments. Eligibility will be determined through a financial need-based formula on a first-come, first-served basis. The Summer Scholarship deadline is June 4, 2008. For more information or a scholarship application, contact the Registrar at 816.531.4022 ext. 1000.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS
KCYA reserves the right to cancel any camp with fewer than our minimum number of students enrolled. Timely registration will help keep your chosen camp open – so enroll early! Should KCYA cancel a camp due to low enrollment, every effort will be made to notify you 48 hours prior and a full refund of fees paid will be issued.
If you withdraw your child from a course or camp prior to the first day of class your tuition will be refunded less a $10 processing fee per course. No refunds will be given after the second meeting of any class except for documented medial reasons.
STUDENT ARRIVAL AND PICK UP
Drop off time: Between 8:00am and 9:00am daily.
Arts Sampler pick up time: 12:15pm
Other camps pick up time: 4:00pm
Extended Day pick up time: 5:30pm. Any parent more than 15 minutes late will be billed $5 per minute beginning at 5:45pm. Please plan to be on time as we don’t want to have to do this!
All campers should be dropped off and picked up in The Commons of the Music and Arts building, unless your confirmation letter states otherwise. Please enter the building through the double glass doors on the Wyandotte side of the campus.
