Session Length

The Spring Session is thirteen weeks long and runs from Monday, January 28 to Saturday, May 3, 2008. There will be no classes or private instruction during Spring Break, the week of March 17-21, however we will have our fabulous Spring Break Camps.

Hours of Instruction

Monday– Thursday, 3:30pm–8:00pm

Friday, 3:30-6:00pm

   Saturday, 9:00am–3:00pm


Private Lessons

Private instruction is available for students ages 11 and up. Lesson times are scheduled based on both the availability of the teaching artist and the student. Students are allowed one rescheduled lesson pending their instructor’s availability. Students who miss group classes will not have the opportunity to make them up.

  

Payment Information

Enrollment with full payment may be made using the "add to cart" button on each class.  This link will take you to a secure server through Pay Pal. 

KCYA also offers the option of a three-installment payment plan with prior approval from the Registration office.  First payment will be required with your enrollment. Remaining balance may be paid in two equal payments.  Payment plans must be coordinated directly with the KCYA Registrar.

   

Recital Week

Each class will participate in an end of session recital.  Specific advanced classes will perform in The Spring Show and Tell on Saturday, May 3.

Scholarships

KCYA offers scholarships for tuition assistance for families with various levels of income. Eligibility will be determined through a financial formula based on income and number of children in your household. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Cancellation and Refund Policy

KCYA reserves the right to cancel any course with fewer than three students en­rolled. Timely registration will help keep your chosen course open, so enroll early! Should KCYA cancel a course due to low enrollment, you will receive 48 hours notice and a full refund of the fees paid.

If you withdraw your child from a course prior to the first day of class, your tuition will be refunded less a $10 processing fee per course. No refunds will be given after the second meeting of any class except for documented medical reasons.

NEW! Inclement Weather Policy
Effective January 2008, the Community School of the Arts will follow the closing policy of the Southwest Pod Catholic Schools.

Student Drop Off & Pick Up Policy

Student under 12 must be walked to and from class by an adult.  Students who are attending more than one class should not be left without parental supervision if there is a break between classes.

Instrument Rental

  Instruments are available for rental on a limited
