Privacy Policy

Kansas City Young Audiences (“KCYA") respects the privacy of members and of those who visit its Web site. Subject to the provisions of applicable laws, any information you submit to KCYA on these Web sites will be used as described in this policy. While KCYA does analyze its Web site logs to monitor the flow of traffic and make improvements to the Web site's content, its Web site logs are not personally identifiable, and no attempt to link them to individual visitors to this Web site is made.

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our web site. Your IP address is used to help identify you and to gather broad demographic information.

Information is also gathered from visitors on the KCYA Web site in the following ways:

  • Our site uses an order form with which visitors may request information and express their interests. We collect visitors’ contact information (such as email address), unique identifiers (such as name and interests), and in some cases, financial information (such as account or credit card numbers). Contact information from the order form is used to send confirmations and information about our organization.
  • Our online surveys may ask visitors for contact information (such as email address), unique identifiers (such as name), and demographic information (such as zip code, age, or business type).
  • Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site. We use this data to tailor our visitors’ experience at our site, showing them content that we think they might be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences.

In all of the cases above, Web site visitors’ contact information is used to contact the visitor when necessary and is shared with The Kansas City Young Audiences and other organizations that may want to contact our visitors. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Financial information that is collected is used to check the users' qualifications for registration and to bill the user for products and services and donations. Unique identifiers (such as names) are collected to verify the user's identity and for use as account identifiers in our record system.

This site contains links to other sites. KCYA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such linked Web sites, nor is KCYA responsible for any marks used by those sites.
