Bucket Drum Circle
Using recycled buckets, Jaisson Taylor increases left and right brain activity and hand-to-eye coordination while exploring the foundations of drumming. Students explore the role music plays in various cultures, and how those cultures influence what you hear in the music of today. No experience is needed, and there is no pressure to be perfect. Mistakes often lead to interesting musical interpretations and interplay.

Garage Band
Play, collaborate, and create with others in a 'garage' rock band format. Every member will have the chance to learn about the various instruments and roles: electric guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums. Through experimentation and practice the group will create its own unique sound. Students will learn classic cover tunes, new arrangements, how to record (using home recording software), the ‘band’ will choose their own name, share their music on Sound Cloud and burn CD’s to keep.
**STUDENTS MUST ALREADY HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH THE GUITAR, BASS, KEYBOARD or DRUMS.** Advanced Garage Band requires an audition or instructor approval.

Original Songwriting Class
Students will learn and develop the skills to write original lyrics and tunes. They will then have the opportunity to record their songs and perform them at a café style presentation at the end of the session.
